Carol A. Jones

Carol A. Jones, age 77 years, of New Baltimore, passed away on August 14, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 1, 1940,in North Canaan CT to the late William B. and Rosemary (Mahoney) Cameron. She was the beloved, dedicated and loyal wife of Bernard M. Jones of New Baltimore NY and would have celebrated 60 years in marriage in a few short months. Devoted mother to Douglas W. Jones of University Park Maryland, David B. (Denise) Jones of Colonie NY, and Debra L. (Jonathan) Best of Colonie NY. Blessed with 4 cherished grandchildren, Michael D. Jones, Sarah L. Jones, Caroline R. Best, and Jessica L. Best who were her absolute pride and joy. And her brother and sister in law Joseph and Connie Cameron of Florida, as well as her 2 nephews, Joe and Chris (Diane) Cameron of Florida. Also survived by Uncle Pete Williams of New Fairfield CT. And her adoring cat, Holly. She leaves behind many faithful friendships that were very dear to her heart. Devout homemaker and Christian. She loved her family more than anything. She religiously prepared Sunday family dinners every week enjoying the company of her close family. She was undeniably the Rock of the Family. Her faith and family were the center of her life. She loved her extended collection of cross stitch samplers, stuffed teddy bears and antique pie birds. She loved gardening and planting flowers. Her love and allegiance to her country was known by all. Her dream came true when she married her Navy sweetheart Bernie and were blessed with 3 precious children. Not long after, they built that big house on the hill with the fence that she always dreamed of as a little girl. "Peace be Still" and "this too shall pass" were quotes she lived by daily.
