Elizabeth Anne Caputo

Elizabeth Anne Caputo died peacefully June 22, 2023, after a short illness. Mrs. Caputo, a resident of Earlton, NY was born August 16, 1942, in Coxsackie, N.Y. and was the daughter of the late Edward Carroll and Bernadette Walther Carroll. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. She was married to her devoted husband, Joseph A. Caputo on February 23, 1963. Elizabeth was a devoted stay at home mother, homemaker to her 6 children, and worked for the Greenville Central School District, and more recently for the Medway-Grapeville Fire Department Board of Commissioners as Treasurer. She loved and best enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, a sister, Marlene Carroll, and her brother-in-law, Michael Matthews. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her 6 children - Joseph Caputo and wife Beth of Round Top, NY; Mary Elizabeth Caputo-Rowlands and husband Eric of Otis, MA; Ann Marie Caputo and partner Rick Deyo of Catskill, NY; Michael Caputo and wife Tricia of Waterford, NY, David Caputo and wife Jennifer of Middleburgh, FL, John Caputo of Coxsackie, NY; her 10 grandchildren, William Bluto and wife Khryz, Bridget Bluto and partner Gary Grimley, Joseph Caputo, Jessica Albin and husband Anthony, Taylor Caputo, Michael Schonning and husband Matthew Petersen, Sophia Caputo, Marcus Caputo, Ava Caputo, and Anthony Caputo; three great grandchildren Venz Diecel Desierto, Venyz Dominique Desierto and Hailey Becker, and expecting another great grandson due in mid-August. She was also survived by her sister Rosemary Martin, sister, Arlene Matthews, and her brother Thomas Carroll, Sr. and wife Michelle. She was survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. The celebration of her life will be Friday June 30, 2023, 4:00pm - 7:00pm at W.C. Brady’s Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 97 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, NY, with services taking place at the funeral home the same day at 6:30 P.M. A private interment will take place at a later date in St, Mary’s Cemetery, Coxsackie, NY.
