Mr. Gerald W. Fausel Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

GERALD W. FAUSEL Gerald W. Fausel of Coxsackie, New York passed away on September 22, 2015 after a long illness. He was the son of the late Agnes M. Guyette and the late Edward J. Fausel. He was the husband for 45 years of Diane Martinez Fausel. He was the father of Christopher A. Fausel of Indianapolis, Indiana, Colin O. Fausel of Coxsackie and grandfather of Mana A. Fausel of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the brother of Mary P. (Frank) Rose of Glenmont, N Y. He was pre-deceased by his brothers Edward A. Fausel of Essex Jct., Vt. and Frederick K. Fausel of Grand Bay AL. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Dorothy M. Fausel of Essex Jct, Vt. Brother –in –laws Charles A. Martinez, Joseph F. Martinez of Coxsackie, sister-in-laws Marion M. Barton of Orwigsburg, Pa and Dolores K. Frezon (Robert) of Rensselaer, NY. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, cousins, and many beloved friends. He was a Navy veteran serving from April 1969 to January 1971. He worked for the N.Y.S. Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance with a total of 35 years of service. After retirement, he served on the Bethany Village Board of Directors and was a member of the Coxsackie American Legion Post 166. In lieu of flowers the family of Gerald requests that donations be made to the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center for pancreatic cancer research. Please make memorial gifts payable to Indiana University Foundation/Pancreatic Center Research. Please indicate “In memory of Gerald W. Fausel” on your gift. Services will be conducted by the W.C. Brady Sons, Inc. 97 Mansion St., Coxsackie, New York. Public viewing will be held from 4 to 8pm on Monday September 28th. A Funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church 80 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, New York at 11:00am on Tuesday September 29th. Interment will follow in the family plot of The Chestnut Lawn Cemetery.
