Marilyn J Quirk Granny Marilyn J Quirk, loving wife, mother, granny, great-granny, sister, aunt and cousin passed away peacefully at her home, in Cairo, N.Y. at the young age of 91 ½ on March 2, 2023. She was born on September 2, 1931 in Kingston, NY and the daughter of the late George Wilson and Rosemarie Genther. She was also predeceased by her “ever loving servant” of 30 years, husband John A. Quirk Sr., first husband Daniel White, step-father Frederick Genther, brother Frederick Genther, sister, Jacqueline Warden, brothers-in-law, Bruce Warden, Joseph Fischer, Ronald Smith, Donald Breitenstein, sisters-in-law, Barbara Genther, Francis Genther, Bonus children, Howard “Ricky” Willette, and Alberta Clearwater, sons-in-law, Jeffrey Engelmann, Lawrence “Lester” Biegel, and Gregory Shamus.She was blessed and survived by her seven children Carola Engelmann, Mary Hans, Joan (John “Jr”) VanDenburgh, Sharon Biegel, Darlene Shamus, John (Suzanne) Quirk Jr, Jenny (Greg) Wright, and a bonus child, Ronald (Karen) Markisenis. She was doubled blessed with 26 grandchildren, Christie, Carra, Carly (Opie), Caytie, Michael, TJ (Rebecca), Adam (Nicole), Nicole (Joel), Alexandra, John (Rachel), Justin (Amy), Joseph (Sara), Richard,Ryan (Ashley), Lisa, Rebecca, Justin, Jamie, Mariya, James, Roxanne (Sean), Amanda, Joshua, Ariel (Kyle),Renee (Brian), MacKenzie, and four fur grands, Mia, Willow, Jasper, and Wallace.She was tripled blessed with 43 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Garrett, Casey, Jacob, Jackson, Charlotte,Kaylin, Landon, Genevieve, Carter, Baby boy Blair, Lyle, Reagan, Jace, Joseph, Brooke, Brynne, Avery, Luke,Jeremy, Mason, Vincent, Brianna, Kaylee, Hannah, Brianna, Faith, Alexander, Julius, Hayden, Riley,Dillon, John, Isaiah, Desiree, Caylee, Nova, Ayla, Zain, Liam, Jaxn, Autumn, Zackary.Marilyn is also survived by her three dear sisters, Margaret Smith, Rosemary Fischer, Darlene Breitenstein and loving brother Donald Genther. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marilyn was a 67 year lifelong member of Sacred Heart Church. She was an avid seamstress at the Fuller Shirt Factory, Kingston, NY, in which she would make her children and grandchildren Halloween costumes. Other interest included reading, country music, cooking, traveling, camping, BINGO, jacks, roller skating, riding her bicycle, going to concerts, and watching FOX News. Though her highest accomplishment was her family, her greatest relationship was with God. She looked at everything through eyes of faith, and found comfort in prayer. Her legacy will live on in the stories told by generations to come. Visitation will be held at Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street, Cairo, NY, 12413, on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 9:30 A.M.- 11:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church at 12:00 Noon, with Fr.
