Rosemary Helen Baxter Muller

Rosemary Helen Baxter Muller, age 78, passed away into the arms of her loving Savior Wednesday morning June 17 at home. Rosemary was born in Coxsackie, NY, graduated from Coxsackie-Athens High School and moved to Newburgh, NY with her husband Howland Henry Baxter to begin a family. Widowed in 1974, she returned to her roots in Coxsackie in 1976 with her children, Bruce, Jane, and Richard. In 1986, she married Robert Muller of Athens, NY and his five children, Anne, Louise, Evelyn, Robert Jr, David were added to her life. Widowed again in 1999, she continued to enjoy life in Coxsackie where she remained. Rosemary was employed at NYS Tax Department as an Audit Clerk until her retirement in 2002. She was a lifelong member of First Reformed Church of Coxsackie. First and foremost, she loved God and her family. Cooking, food and celebrations with her family and many friends were one of her great loves. She invested greatly in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, lavishing abundant love, time, and energy on activities with them. She enjoyed the beauty of small-town life including visits with family and friends and listening to music at Coxsackie Riverside Park, county fairs, and picnics. She loved books, and pictures, and surrounding herself with memories of those she loved. Rosemary is survived by her sister: Barbara Minshell; her children: Bruce (Keely) Baxter, Jane Hartshorne, Richard Baxter, Anne Matson, Evelyn (Tom) Russo, Robert Muller Jr; her grandchildren: Annie (Tom) Devinney, Jonathan Baxter, Olivia Baxter, Eliza Baxter, Amanda Pultz, Ashley Pultz, Nicole Hartshorne, Rachel Hartshorne, Taylor (fiancée Cody Smith) Baxter, Maggie Matson, Michael Matson, Thomas (Agenta) Russo II, Tara (Eric) Bachner, Peter (fiancée Allison) Russo, Zachary Muller, Matthew Muller, Christina Muller; Nieces & Nephews: Janis (Darren) Winters, Gregory Minshell; great grandchildren: Lucas, Lilly, Brantley, Oaklynn, Abigail, Hannah, Kylie, Owen, Kiernan, Torrin, Aislin, and David. Rosemary is pre-deceased by her husbands, Howland Henry Baxter & Robert Muller Sr as well as Louise Finch & David Muller. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Rosemary’s memory to the Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital at https://giving.mskcc.org/ A celebration of life service originally planned for Saturday, July 11, 2020 at The First Reformed Church in Coxsackie, N.Y. will be rescheduled at a later late to allow family to travel and friends to gather in Rosemary's memory after travel restrictions are lifted.
