Serena Beth Saccoccie

Serena Beth Saccoccie, age 32 years, of Coxsackie, N.Y., passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023. She was born on October 2, 1990, in Albany, N.Y. and is the daughter of Joe and Vicky Saccoccie of Climax, N.Y. Serena was a very intelligent and ambitious person, she graduated high school and went on to night school to study Nursing at Columbia Greene Community College. After achieving her associate degree, she attended a Bachelors of Science in the Nursing program at Russell Sage College. She spent the last ten years saving lives in hospitals from New York to Tennessee. Serena prided herself on her vast knowledge of pathology and anatomy as she was trained in emergency medicine and did well under pressure. Serena was a lover, of life, of adventures, of her son Aiden and her entire family. A devoted mother, she worked so hard to provide the best life for herself and Aiden. Her cats Nala and Simba, and dogs Mae and Mando were her precious fur babies. Serena was an aunt to twelve children who absolutely loved her. A ride or die kind of woman, she loved her siblings fiercely, and cherished her friends like family. She was a wonderful cook and it brought her great joy to bring nourishment to the table. She was a devoted nurse, cared deeply for every patient she had, and made sure to advocate for the best method of treatment even if it over stepped someone above her. Her heart was full of courage and kindness to share. The strength she had was unmatched, she was a warrior. She loved to listen to live music and danced to the beat of her own drum. Serena’s laugh could be heard from a distance, you knew when she was enjoying herself because she would only get louder. She was the life of the party. Besides her parents Joe and Vicky, survivors include her son Aiden Saccoccie, her seven siblings Sarah Whitaker (Justin), Sherona Ramos (Gian), Zachary Saccoccie, Jordan Saccoccie (Elizabeth), Sadie Phillips (Hunter), Matthew Saccoccie and Sophia Saccoccie, and her grandmother Joan “Nanny” Vetter-Weber. Serena also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, Lizzie, Derek, Ashton, Brady, Remy, Milo, Camilla, Rowan, Ford, Reagan and Clover. Serena is pre-deceased by her grandparents Francis and Beulah Saccoccie, Arthur “Poppy” Vetter and George Weber, and also her sister in law Melissa Saccoccie who prececeased her on January 11, 2023. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life in memory of Serena at The W.C. Brady’s Sons, Inc. Funeral Home, 97 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, N.Y., 12051, on Sunday April 16, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home the same day at 3:30 P.M. If anyone wishes, in lieu of flowers, a trust fund is being set up for Serena’s son Aiden Saccoccie , at The National Bank of Coxsackie, checks may be made payable to Aiden Saccoccie, and may be mailed to The National Bank of Coxsackie, P.O.
