Drusiana "Dolly" Mansfield

Drusiana “Dolly” Mansfield, 94 passed away peacefully into her Lord’s arms on January 21st, 2024 at Daughters of Sarah Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 17th, 1929 in Coxsackie, New York to the late Anthony Adamo and Theresa Lucia Adamo. She was predeceased by her loving husband George Mansfield and her brother Edward Adamo. In her early years she attended school in Ridgewood, Queens, NY at PS-71 where she developed everlasting friends and relationships. Dolly was a graduate of Coxsackie-Athens High School in 1948. She was employed at A&P Tea Company in her earlier years. Then, was the bookkeeper at Adamo Dress Factory, the families business. But, the one she cherished the most was that of being a dedicated wife and mother to her three daughters. Her unwavering love for not only her family but everyone that she encountered was evident throughout her life. Survivors include her three daughters Lynne (Robert) Riccardo, Lorie (Paul) Devine of Coxsackie and LeeAnn (Joseph) Crispo of East Greenbush. Also, her brother Joseph (Marilyn) Adamo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she adored. Dolly was a proud member of The Gospel Community Church, she loved the Lord but has many questions for him. She was also a member of the Coxsackie Senior Center. Dolly enjoyed reading, dancing, playing cards, animals, quality time with family and supporting George at his softball games. She taught 1 st grade religious instruction at St. Mary’s Church. George and Dolly enjoyed being snowbirds in Florida for 30 years, where they had a very active life. While in Florida they received a lot of love and support from her cousins, the Lucia family. We would like to thank the staff at Daughters of Sarah Rehabilitation Center. Also, a special thank you to our dear friend Donna Gianola who showed her tender loving care when her family needed it the most. Our florist is Rizzo’s House of Flowers, 233 Remsen St., Cohoes, NY 12047. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at the W.C. Brady’s Sons, Inc Funeral Home, 97 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, NY on Thursday January 25th, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Funeral services will take place on Friday January 26th, 2024 at 10:30am at The Gospel Community Church, Mansion Street, Coxsackie, NY. Interment will follow in the family plot of the St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery, Coxsackie, New York. Arrangements are under the direction of The W.C. Brady’s Sons, inc.
