Patricia A. Jackson

Patricia A. Jackson, 84, of Round Top, NY passed away peacefully at Columbia Memorial Hospital on October 27th, 2025. Pat was brought up in the Lexington Methodist Church, including attending Sunday school and the Methodist Youth Fellowship, becoming a member of the Church in 1955. She married James. W. South in the Lexington Church and they moved to Round Top, NY. There, they built a home and raised two children. A daughter, Lorraine Bruyette (Guy) and a son, Walter South (Marybeth). She became a member of the Round Top Church in 1963, there she taught Sunday School and took on other various offices within the church. The family founded Whip-O-Will campground with John and Florence South. There, she taught Red Cross swim and lifesaving classes. Pat joined the Cairo Order Of The Eastern Star #380. She was a long standing and active member for 60 years. She took the office of Matron, twice, then took a State Office of District Deputy Grand Matron and Grand Representative to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. She was also employed by Cairo-Durham Transportation as a school bus driver. And retired after many years of service. She married William Jackson Jr., and gained four more children. Melony Imbesi, pre-deceased (John), William Jackson III (Renee), Donald Jackson (Leisha), Shawn Jackson (Kim). Pat enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grandchildren, Joleen Bruyette, Jamie Bruyette (Gina), Christopher Roscoe, James South, William Jackson IV, Jacqueline Jackson (Stephen Walenta), Donald Jackson Jr., Alyssa Jackson, Tyler Jackson and Connor Jackson. Great grandchildren, John Walenta, Nicholas Walenta and Robin Walenta. Pat and Bill spent their retirement traveling in their camper and camping at Whip-O-Will campgrounds. Family and friends are invited to call at the Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross St. on Thursday October 30th from 11:30am- 12:00 noon. At 12:00 noon the Eastern Star will conduct services and at 12:30 Pastor Steven Adade from Cairo United Methodist Church will conduct Patricia's celebration of life.
