In Loving Memory of Shirlene Y. Pechette May 17, 1970 – May 11, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Shirlene Y. Pechette, who went home to be with the Lord on May 11, 2025, at the age of 54. Shirlene fought a courageous battle with cancer for over a year. Though the disease was aggressive and discovered too late, her strength, resilience, and faith were evident throughout her journey. Her unwavering trust in God inspired everyone who knew her, and she showed us all what it means to live with grace and courage in the face of adversity. Born on May 17, 1970, Shirlene’s life was filled with love and kindness. She touched the lives of many with her generous spirit and compassionate heart. Shirlene had a deep love for her family and friends, and she made everyone around her feel like they were part of her family. Her smile was contagious, and her joyful presence could light up any room. Shirlene worked very hard from the age of 14. Her last position was as a Payroll Administrator at Carver Company, where she was deeply appreciated for her dedication and the positive energy she brought to her work. She was grateful to be part of a team that made her feel valued, and her integrity and work ethic were unmatched. Above all, her commitment to service was something she brought to every area of her life. In addition to her work, Shirlene had a love for cooking. Her meals were a reflection of her kind heart, and she found joy in sharing her food with others. Her generosity and hospitality were a beautiful extension of her love for the people around her, and those who were lucky enough to enjoy her cooking will always remember it fondly. Shirlene’s greatest pride, however, was her family. She poured love into her role as a wife and mother. Shirlene is survived by her loving husband, Fred; her beloved daughter, Courtney; her cherished son, Eric “Freddy”; and her siblings, Linda, Sheila, Wendy, Ernie, and Tricia. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were all blessed by her love and example. Her family was everything to her, and she devoted herself to them with a heart full of love and care. While we grieve her loss, we find comfort in the knowledge that Shirlene is now resting in the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ; experiencing the peace and joy that comes from being in His presence. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will live on in all of us who were privileged to know her. Revelation 21:4: “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Celebration of Life --- We would be honored if you would join us on Monday, May 19, 2025 with a Visitation from 12:00 – 2:00 PM and a service at 1:30 am at W.C.
