Barbara Ann Malachowski January 20, 1954 – March 20, 2022 Barbara Ann Malachowski, age 68 years, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 2:10 P.M. My Momma left this world and crossed over to the next. Survivors include her loving daughter Nicole and as a Mom, Barbara was always Her rock, the planner and the caregiver. She wore many robes in her life, but her proudest was that of mother and grandmother. Her granddaughter Kae, or “Bug” as my mother called her, was the light of her life…always the caregiver. She was employed as a bartender and waitress in the early part of her life. Touching may souls along the way. Eventually she started driving school bus for Bethlehem Central School District. She loved her job there because she loved the kids she met along the way …always the caregiver. She spent the last years as a foster fur momma for Animal Kind in Hudson, N.Y. She volunteered to do fundraisers, fairs and events any chance that she got. She loved being able to help the kitties and give them a voice. .. always the caregiver. Heaven gained the most selfless soul and her loss will be felt until we meet again, Until then she has been reunited with her mother, Mary, Louise Shader “Molly”, many friends and her fur babies that crossed before her. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at The Richards Funeral Home, 28 North Vernon Street, Athens, N.Y., 12015, on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Graveside services l will take place on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 11:00 A.M., in the family plot of The St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 16 County Route 52, Greenwich, N.Y. 12834.
