Catherine Jane Petramale

Catherine Jane Petramale (Brisee), age 93 years, of Athens, New York, passed away on June 4, 2021, at Greene Meadows Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Catskill, New York. She was born on October 14, 1927, in Acra, New York, and is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernestine Brisee. Besides her parents, Catherine is predeceased by her loving husband Thomas J. Petramale in 1975. Survivors include several nieces and nephews, and her dear friend and Godson, who was like a son, Allan Couser and his wife Jean. During Catherine’s lifetime, she enjoyed providing day care in her home in Athens. She loved animals, especially her loving dog “Jordan”. Her husband Thomas was the former chief of Athens Fire Department. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at the Richards Funeral Home, 28 North Vernon Street, Athens, New York, on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the conclusion of the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the family plot of The Old Athens Rural Cemetery.
