Mr. Daniel S. Hellen

November 10, 1971 - April 22, 2015

Daniel S. Hellen, 43, went home to his heavenly Father on April 22, 2015.
He is survived by his wife Helen ad their seven children Liberty, Abigail, Gracie, Griffin, Collin, Claire and Reaghan.
He was born in Nesconset, NY, the youngest of five children to Barbara and John Hellen.
Dan was a loving husband, father, son and brother, loved by all who knew him. His engaging personality has won him many awards in his sales career and allowed him touch a multitude of lives. Daniel loved Jesus and Jesus loves him and now they are together.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the W.C. Brady’s Sons, Inc. Funeral Home, 97 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, NY, on Monday, April 27, 2015, from 4-8 PM.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, Coxsackie, NY.

Dan was a shining light in this world. He was a wonderful father, and husband. As I always saw him and his large family come in church, it brought a smile to my face that there was such kindness left in this world. He was patient and kind, you could see it as he spoke to his children as they flocked around him.
I also knew Dan as a teacher for the youth of St. Mary's in Coxsackie. He always brought a wonderful message to the children. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I know he will enter into the kingdom of God with our eternal father and Lord Jesus Christ.
John 14:1-3 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
He will remain forever in my heart, his smile, his soft spoken words, his laugh and his love for his children and wife. May God wrap his arms around all of you and please know that your in my thoughts and prayers.

Watching the lovely Hellen family file into a pew in church always reminds me of my growing up years of filing into church with my parents & our own large family of seven children. Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am that such a wonderful man has passed away. He was blessed with a large loving family that will miss him forever, as will his friends and those around him. Sometimes it's difficult for us to understand God's plans at a time like this, however, we can find comfort in sharing his memory, and remembering how special he was. Dan was an amazing man that I had the pleasure to work with a long time ago and I also had the pleasure of meeting his wife and their children and going to my family cabin with them for an overnight many years ago. They are a beautiful family and my thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children, and all of the family.

I Send my thoughts and prayers to Dans family. Although I only knew Dan a short time he was the guy you immediately liked and never knew what he was going to do or say next . The guy kept me on my toes with his sense of humor,and Dan was such a talented guy. Dans eyes always lit up when he spoke of his children and he was a proud parent ......Dan will be missed by all that knew him , Rest in peace Dan
