Dorothy G. “Bunny” Hatton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dorothy (Gilmour) “Bunny” Hatton, age 92 years of Cairo, NY, passed away on November 9, 2021 at her home of 69 years in Cairo, New York. She was born on August 20, 1929, in Staten Island, NY and is the daughter of the late William and Dorothy F. Gilmour nee (Fischer). Besides her parents, Dorothy is predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years Edward B. Hatton, her two sons Edward F. Hatton and Michael A. Hatton, and her oldest sibling William F. Gilmour. During Dorothy’s lifetime, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker, enjoying flower gardening, crocheting and knitting and traveling with her husband, son and family. She cared for her family and loved ones in their time of need. Survivors include her son Richard Hatton, her daughter in law Jane Miller-Hatton and granddaughter Ashley Ann Hatton all of Manassas, Virginia. She is also survived by her sister Gloria Lindsey of Cairo, N.Y., her brother in law Walter Hatton and his wife Florence, her sister in law Eleanor (Nona) Roberts, and many nieces, nephews and their families. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street, Cairo, N.Y. on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. Services will be held at 3:30 P.M. the same day at the funeral home, with Rev. John Miller officiating. Private interment and graveside services will be held.
