John M. Anderson- Musician and Composer - Beloved Son and Brother, age 57 years, of Albany, New York, passed away suddenly on July 19, 2022, at his residence in Albany, New York. He was born on January 2, 1965 in Manhattan and is the son of the late John Anderson and Lora Anderson Secor of Coxsackie, New York. Besides his mother, John is survived by his stepfather Walter Secor, his two brothers Robert Bruce Anderson “Bruce” of Florida and Steven Christopher Anderson of Connecticut. Besides his father, John is predeceased by his grandparents, and several aunts and uncles. John served his country proudly in The United States Army. During John’s lifetime, he attended school in Florida and also in Rockland County. John was a musician and a composer, loving all types of music. He was a bass player and was a musician for famous bands. Beginning in Junior High School, John schooled in classical music, learning how to play instruments such as the piano, keyboards, trumpet and the tuba, and due to his love of Jazz music, later on he developed into a brilliant Jazz musician, which many people always knew him as. John was very artistic. He loved all nature and the outdoors, especially the mountains, and he was also an animal lover. John also volunteered for many years, never wishing for acknowledgment, just doing what he loved and found happiness in bringing pleasure to others quietly. A Mass will be held for John at The St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 80 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, New York, 12051, on Monday, August 1, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. Arrangements are under the direction of The W.C.
