Mrs. Maria T. Greci Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Maria Teresa Greci age 67 of Athens passed away on 9/26/16 at home, with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Maria was born on 4/16/49 in Sant' Angelo In-Villa, Italy. She is the daughter of the late Severino and Zelinda Mastracci. In 1968 she married her husband Liberatore and moved to New York. She was the owner/operator of Riverside Deli in Athens for 21 years. After retiring from the deli she began working at Catskill high school in the cafeteria. She will always be remembered for her strong faith and endless kindness. She most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Liberatore Greci, daughter Nadia (Luca) DeMarco, daughter Santina (John) DeMarco, son Frankie (Nicole) Greci, her Grandchildren: Daniella, Gabriella, Francesco, Melissa, Joseph, Michael, Sofia, Anthony, Daniel, Giancarlo & Cecilia, her brother Michele (Domenica) Mastracci, Brother in law Mario (Josephine) Greci, and many other family and friends Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her son Giacomo "Jack" Greci, her brothers Domenico and Raffaelo Mastracci, her parents Severino and Zelinda Mastracci and her In-Laws Giacomo and Santina Greci. Calling hours will be held on Thursday 9/29/2016 at Richards Funeral Home, 28 North Vernon Street, Athens, NY from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Patricks of Athens Friday 9/30/2016 at 9:00 A.M. Entombment will take place in Holy Rood Cemetery, in Westbury, L.I.
