Sandra "Sandy" Bagley (Salisbury)

March 27, 1940 - April 13, 2022

Sandra (Sandy) Bagley (Salisbury) was born in Albany, NY and lived most of her life in the Capital Region and resided in Earlton, NY for the past 35 years, passed away after a short illness on April 13, 2022 at St Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. Sandra was lovingly watched over and cared for by her daughter Nancy LaFever during her brief illness who was holding her hand when she passed way. Sandra was born on March 27, 1940 to her parents Elizabeth (Betty) and Elmer Salisbury in Albany, NY. In 1957, Sandra met Ransom (Ben) Bagley and married him on June 16, 1957 in Albany and went on to spend 65 years together having 2 children, Randy who passed way in 1963 and Nancy. To say that her family and friends will miss her greatly is an understatement. Between the many customers she attended to at Tops Supermarket in Greenville, NY where she worked part-time for the last 18 years to her family and friends, she was best known for the intricate and elaborate costumes and hats that she would wear to work celebrating the different holidays and seasons of the year. It was said Sandy was unselfish to a fault. Often neglecting the needs of herself for the needs and well-being of her many friends and family. She will be remembered and acknowledged by all as a hardworking, loving wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother who was a loyal, unselfish friend to all and an esteemed, respected colleague. Sandy was predeceased by her Sister Virginia Bradt and her son Randy. She is survived by her husband Ransom, daughter Nancy LaFever and her husband Steve and her grandchildren, Neil, Eric and Brandon LaFever and great grandchildren, Ava LaFever, Jaxon LaFever and Carson Wise. A memorial service will be held at Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross St, Cairo, NY 12413 on Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Condolences may be made at www.richardsfuneralhomeinc.net.
