Dr. Timothy Allan Kirby

October 27, 1956 - February 22, 2022

Dr. Timothy Allan Kirby, well-known area veterinarian, passed away unexpectedly after a very brief illness on February 22nd, 2022 at the age of 65, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 27th, 1956 in Oneonta NY, the son of the late Allan B. Kirby and Jane Hall Kirby of Sidney Center, NY. He is survived by his beloved wife Hon. Denise A. Hartman and his three sons Wesley, Daniel, and Thomas of Athens, NY, brother Jeffery Kirby and Jeff's wife Debra of Ballston Lake, NY and two nieces Kaelin and Alexandra, his “Pittsburgh Family,” and his “Scouting Family.” Before his recent retirement Timothy was a veterinarian at the Catskill Animal Hospital for nearly 40 years. A dedicated outdoorsman and nature lover, he was the longtime Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 45 and an avid hiker, camper, canoeist, photographer, and cyclist. He had a deep and abiding interest in the welfare of those around him, whether they had “two or four legs.” He could always be counted on for an ingenious solution to any problem, even if it meant hanging a trailer from the rafters. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the W.C. Brady's Sons, Inc. Funeral Home, 97 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, NY, 12051.
