Westin S. "Wess" Alfeld

October 29, 1996 - June 14, 2018

Westin S. “Wess” Alfeld’s purpose in life was fulfilled and Heaven received another angel on June 14, 2018. He was born on October 29, 1996, and is the son of William J. Alfeld, Jr. and Colleen A. Brandow. Besides his parents, Westin is survived by his brother William J. Alfeld III, step sisters Leah Lincoln, Bailey Hill and Mary Hill, stepmother Kellie J. Alfeld and her mother Patti Benway, his paternal grandmother Agnes M. Alfeld, his maternal grandmother Marylou Brandow, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including his best friend Warren Graff. Westin is predeceased by his grandfathers, Donald S. Brandow, Jr. and William J. Alfeld. Westin is a graduate of Cairo Durham High School Class of 2015. His interests included fishing, hunting, camping and bonfires with “A” beer, and anything to do with the outdoors. Wess had an infectious smile, he loved to make people laugh, and he always thought of others first. Wess loved the Round Top Mountains. He was wise beyond his 21 years and led his family always in the right direction. He was one step ahead of us all. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours at Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street, Cairo, N.Y. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 10:00 A.M at the funeral home, with Pastor Victor Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot of The Round Top Cemetery. Donations in Westin’s memory may be made to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, 401 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, N.J. 07601 or if anyone wishes you may volunteer in Westin’s memory.
