Michael Leung

Michael Leung, age 43 years, left this life on September 12, 2022. He leaves behind so many who will continue to love and admire him. Michael was born on June 11, 1979, in Carmel, New York. Mike loved to win and did everything in his control to win this battle against cancer. Since his diagnosis in 2020, Mike continued to train hard and do everything in his power to win. Mike had many passions and hobbies. He was the Lebron James of coding, loved to kick-box, lift weights, create pixel art, write stories and poems, and all of his jokes were funny. Mike was known for giving everyone fun nicknames (sometimes multiple). He loved bringing people joy through food. Most of all, he loved spending time with his soul mate Ingrid (who he called “babington”, “totes mcbaby” or “old bae”). Together, he and Ingrid trained kickboxing and powerlifted together, cooked good food, worked on business ventures and often drove hours to eat good “snackies” (but mostly Chick-fil-a). He never let a day go by without reminding Ingrid how deeply he loved her and that he would love her every second of every day for eternity. Mike never took shortcuts and he always did the right thing by everyone he knew. He was and continues to be a role model for so many, including his niece (Lexisaurous Rex) and nephews (Uncle Logie & Smalls), who look to him as a father figure. He taught his young brothers-in-law to go after their dreams and encourage them to pursue their passions. He was the best Gruncle (great uncle) to his new great niece Scarlett who he lovingly called “Scarletto” or “Scarlettinator”. He and his brother, Tom (Mick), were always there for each other. He was loved greatly by his in-laws, Mark & Faithe, his sisters-in-law, Alysa & Rae and all of his brothers-in-law who consider him to be their big brother, Yorrick, Carlito, Cubbinton, and Sweetie. He loved his pets - Eleanor (Fluffy Butt Bunny), Xander (Fat Xan), and WIllow (Little Baby). His parents, Karen & Henry, gave him his kind spirit, strength, generosity, and moral integrity, plus their affinity towards good food. Ingrid and Mike pinky swore in their early days to love each other forever and they will continue to keep that promise. Soul mates never die. We will be having a celebration in the near future of Michael’s very much loved life, to be announced through facebook.
